This Saturday April 12th from 9:00 am to 4 pm, we will once again have our “Food Blitz” at grocery stores across the City of Kingston. Teams of volunteers will be handing out collection bags to shoppers and collecting donations. All non-perishable food items will be gratefully accepted with a focus on canned Fish, Meat, Peanut butter, Stew/Chunky soups, Cereal, Baby Food, larger sized diapers (3, 4, 5) and baby wipes.

Our goal: To collect 25,000 lbs of food and $30,000.

2024 was yet another record-breaking year for Partners in Mission Food Bank, having distributed 20,399 food hampers, all built by our volunteers, helping 9,131 people. This is a shocking 1 in 17 people in Kingston and Loyalist Township received a food hamper from us last year up from 1 in 19 in 2023. Need for the food bank has never been greater.

Volunteer Teams will be collecting at the following 10 grocery store locations:

Tanya’s No Frills - Division Street                                             Andrew & Emily’s No Frills – Coverdale Drive

I would like to thank all our incredible volunteers from:

Kingston Rotary groups, Kingston and Area Real Estate Association, RBC, BMO, CFB Kingston, Kingston Health Sciences Centre, as well as numerous individuals.

Their incredible assistance brings our mission “to provide nourishment, hope, and support in our community with an opportunity for all to share” to life.

Online “Food Blitz” donations can be made at: www.kingstonfoodbank.ca .

Partners in Mission Food Bank has been helping our Kingston neighbours in need since 1984. We do not receive government or agency funding, and we rely solely on our community for food and financial support.

Thank you,
