Giant Tiger Canada has partnered with Food Banks Canada for its Round-Up campaign.
Michael started volunteering with Partners in Mission Food Bank in early 1994 while working contract work at the Kingston Psychiatric Hospital. At the time, he was looking for a way to increase his community involvement, make new friends, stay mentally and physically fit, and to make a difference in many lives- and he has!! Michael was a perfect match with our organization.
Thank you to Reinier of Brilliant Eye.ca created a video to help #ygk know more about what we do here! Watch it here on our YouTube channel.
Due to lockdown restrictions to prevent the spread of COVID-19, we were forced to cancel our annual Food Blitz for the second year in a row, and transition to a Virtual event. As Kingston’s food bank, our annual Food Blitz has been an essential food drive for us every spring since 1984.
Following the current lockdown restrictions in place to prevent the spread of COVID-19, we are cancelling our annual Food Blitz for the second year in a row.
Wishing a warm and Happy Volunteer Appreciation week to our team of amazing volunteers.
Thank you so much for the immeasurably valuable work you have done for our charity! No words are enough to thank you for sacrificing your comforts for the betterment of others during these challenging times.
