Walmart's national goal with this year's "Fight Hunger Spark Change" initiative is to raise enough food and monetary donations providing the equivalent to 15 million meals AND a donation of one million dollars to Food Banks Canada!
Partners in Mission Food Bank will be closed Tuesday December 24 at 12 noon and open again Thursday January 2 at 8:30am. Have a safe and happy holiday #ygk!
A Message from Our Executive Director Dan Irwin:
As I complete my first six months as Executive Director at Partners in Mission Food Bank, my first thoughts are how thankful I am to the Kingston community for your continued support. Help has been given by many who want to ensure that this vital piece of the community continues to survive and provide for our neighbours in need.
Looking to host an event in support of Partners in Mission Food Bank?
We appreciate initiatives to organize a food drive on our behalf and we have a few helpful suggestions that may make your efforts easier and more fun for you and your friends.
UPDATE: Donation totals from the 27th Annual Kingston Santa Parade - 2823 lbs. of food items and $2400! Thank you #ygk! #HappyHolidays
Unfortunately, we have not been able to fully discuss the needs of our clients with the MPP candidates in Kingston. We hope, if they are elected, that they will work towards meaningful improvements.
Everyone please vote October 21st!
